Hitch a ride on the Broomy Hill Miniature Railway in Hereford, featuring every gauge of locomotive and both a raised and ground-level track. Or ride the Dean Forest Railway through 4.5 miles of beautiful woodland and countryside and enjoy the relaxing pace of a typical country branch line. Head to The Grove Golf & Bowl in Leominster for a fun packed afternoon of ten-pin bowling, arcades and pizza.
Experience the outdoors at the Queenswood Park’s Gruffalo trail. At Newbridge Farm Park, they’ll love the fast and bumpy tractor ride, hands-on time with the lambs and the llamas, and paninis and potatoes in the café. Meet more animals at the Small Breeds Farm and Animal Park in Kington and at Wynnes of Dinmore, home of pygmy goats, miniature pigs, alpacas and poultry.

Stay on site for organised archery, team-building or olde-worlde fayre games. Try your hand at flower-crown and wreath-making or dip into the tasty world of clay-oven pizza-making. Get fit and flexible with a yoga workshop or get made up or pampered with our resident pros. For all the book-worms, visit the world recognised Hay on Wye literature festival.
