Living Spaces

As the wall art states: Gather, Roam, Rest, Graze and Cwtch. That’s Welsh for a hug, by the way. You’ll want to do a lot of that in these warm, comfortable lodgings. Exposed stone, aged oak beams and underfloor heating throughout are the order of the day inside the sprawling spaces of The Wholehouse.

An idyllic Welsh homestay that is plush with plenty of rustic charm, but still feels like home. A sea of snug velvety sofas, cosy Welsh blankets, a roaring log fire and sociable spaces in which to gather and giggle see to that. Sign in to Netflix or use the Freesat while chilling watching your favourite shows or flick the news on while cooking breakfast.

Fancy making a night of it? Pop some popcorn, pour the Prosecco and head to the cinema room with its tiered rows of swish seating and stools, 4K HD projector and giant screen. Perfect for watching sport with a pint in hand, cwtched up with a film or get competitive with the retro game’s consoles. Keep the party coming, with a nightcap dancing under the disco balls.

All partied out? Escape the madness in The Granary sitting room or Piano link. Sink into an inviting chair, pull a book from the shelf, admire the outstanding views and unwind. This is life as it should be, at your pace, around people you choose to be with.

Cooking and dining

Thoughtfully designed for large groups and a chunky oak 22ft dining table with a colourful collection of chairs sets The Wholehouse apart from the flock. Set up for banquets of 20, or the dining space could easily accommodate 24. Sit back and absorb the atmosphere while hiring a local award-winning chef, to whip up a treat for your family and friends. It will be an experience you’ll never forget. Should you want quieter dining, there’s space for four to six around the cheerful Granary table.

This farmhouse kitchen is foodie heaven with appliances and space in abundance, as well as being Insta-beautiful in calm oatmeal hues and hand-crafted concrete worktops. There are stunning views across the luscious valley below and even a little sparkle added for impromptu kitchen discos! Get cooking on four hide-and-slide ovens and a five-burner induction hob.
