The Flower Barn The Flower Barn

No one-trick peony

Bring 23 of your best buds to Worcestershire and have a blooming marvellous time in canal country. The Flower Barn is part of a flower-growing business and you’re invited to join in with the arrangements. But this is far from a one-trick peony: chill out in the hot tub, challenge friends in the games barn, binge box sets on the big sofas, barbie out on the sunshine terrace.

Blooming marvellous barn conversion

Come to lovely Worcestershire with just 23 of your best buds, family and a couple of dogs and have a blooming marvellous time in canal country. The architect-designed Flower Barn sits at the epicentre of an artisan flower-growing business and you’re cordially invited to join Anna in a flower craft activity.

Beyond the blooms and the purpose-built flower studio, The Flower Barn offers a perfect arrangement for group holidays close to the Mid-Worcestershire Ring, a 21-mile waterway mecca for boats, bikes and boots. But don’t rush out just yet: there’s more than the scent of a seasonal bloom to keep you happy in this architect-designed barn.

Relax in the hot tub or gardens with a spot of Prosecco. Have endless fun in the games barn. Cook on the fan ovens, or be cooked for, and get 22 around the longest dining table in the big sociable central spaces. Then feed the wood-burner, chill on the family of soft sofas in front of the 58” smart TV and stream your Netflix account on the 90Mbs full-fibre broadband.

Sit out at night under the stars on the terrace table with burgers from the coal barbie. Then sleep 22 in delicious comfort in the main barn’s nine bedrooms and add two more in the adjoining building. Bag the bunk room to grab another smart TV. Wake to croissants and coffee on the patio and do it all again in a place that’s far from a one-trick peony.

The Flower Barn

Hot tub, garden and grounds

As befits a property in the centre of an artisan flower business, the planting’s beautifully done, framing the terrace where you’ll eat al-fresco in the sunshine with shish kebabs from the coal barbecue and finish off the last drops of the Prosecco at night under the stars. Take a towel out for impromptu dips in the seven-seater hot tub.

Burn off some energy and enjoy some friendly competition with family and friends on the playing fields, set up with football goals for your fun. Or battle it out for gaming champion in the games barn with it’s pool table, football table, table tennis and darts. Children will spend hours clambering and swinging at the playground or on the vintage Fordson Major tractor.

Living spaces

Inside, life revolves around the central cooking, dining and living space. Warmed by burning logs on the woodburner and lit by spotlights, it’s cool, contemporary and classy. Pick a squishy sofa – any squishy sofa – and settle back in front of the 58” smart TV. Don’t forget your Netflix login.

But where would The Flower Barn be without a USP? Here, the clue’s in the name. There’s a flower-growing business on site and a studio room given over to crafts. If you’re up for it, you’ll be invited to take part in flower picking and crafting with Anna, the resident qualified florist. Or why not book the studio for other onsite activities?

Bring your friends, bring your family, bring a couple of dogs – they’ll love the fire – and see if there’s a latent flower-arranger inside any of you. When you’re done with that, you can post your crafty picture to Instagram on the full fibre-to-barn BT broadband that whistles around the place at around 90mbs.

Cooking and dining

Do they build dining tables big enough for your party? They do here. Eat and drink with your friends and family around the chunky hunk of oak in the middle of the living space. You’ve another ten chairs if you need them. Or eat out on the terrace in the sunshine with sticky ribs and sausages from the coal barbecue.

If you fancy subcontracting the catering, we’ve got the private chefs who’ll create all things from a buffet to a banquet on the two electric fan ovens and five-ring induction hob, and then load up the dishwashers afterwards. Book anything from a one-off celebration to a fully catered break. Or just enjoy some delicious drop-offs.

Tuck in to takeaways from Golden Valley Chinese, kebabs, pizza, burgers and fried chicken from the Leaning Tower of Pizza, and good old fish and chips from Queens. Stock up on local fruit, beer and bakery products from Broomsfield’s of Holt, and cheese, meat and more from the Top Barn Harvest Shop.

Eat out at The Vernon for Thai green veg curry or steak-and-ale pie or The Chequers for stonebaked pizza or Cornish slow-cooked shoulder of lamb. Head to All’Angelo for seasonally driven Italian, to Bullocks Bistro for Thai, or to Spice Fusion for exquisite, flavoursome Asian artisan cuisine in an intimate and ambient setting.

The Flower Barn

Bedrooms

The Flower Barn sleeps 22 in the main barn with two more in the annex. In rural Worcestershire, there’s little to get in the way of deep slumber except the call of the night owls and the wind that trickles through the trees.

On the ground floor, bedroom one is a king and bedrooms three and four are doubles, while bedroom two is a twin. Bedroom one is a luxury en-suite, bedroom two has a private bathroom and three and four share a bathroom.

On the first floor, you’ll find three double bedrooms, a twin and the family suite bunk room which has a double and two sets of bunkbeds, perfect for a family to share. With bedrooms five, six, seven and nine enjoying an en-suite. An annex sleeps two more and six of the rooms will take a cot.

Children welcome

No need to leave anyone at home in this huge barn conversion in rural Worcestershire. So kids will be surrounded by 22 of their nearest and dearest, including two of their four-legged best friends. Maybe get them involved in a new hobby? Book a flower-arranging or wreath-making class with Anna.

Older kids will enjoy a dip in the seven-person hot tub. There’s plenty of lawn out there for picnics, cartwheels and general malarkey as well as a playground and playing fields with football goals for the sporty bunch. Or challenge the grown ups in the games barn to a pool or football table tournament. Inside this barn, smaller kids can clamber on the vintage tractor for some farm role play fun.

Back inside, there’s plenty space and plenty bedrooms (nine) in which to wear each other out over hide and seek. And there are spaces here to be as sociable as you like or to retreat a while with drawing books or headphones. Get a grown-up to get the woodburner going, then cosy up with the 58” smart TV and your Netflix account.

Stream and surf on the 90Mbs full fibre-to-barn BT broadband. At night, stay up way past bedtime on the army of squishy sofas, then sleep deeply in crisp cotton sheets in twin rooms and bunks. Two cots with linen and two high chairs are available for younger children.

I would like to thank you all for the wonderful service provided to us on booking The Flower Barn for my daughter’s hen party last weekend.... It was the most fabulous accommodation for a large group of any combination, well equipped, beautifully furnished, stunning view, great to have a hot tub. It could not have been better, the owner was so accommodating, everything we asked for, they put in place for us. The flower arranging activity in the studio on Sunday morning totally exceeded expectations, we all made beautiful arrangements in boxes filled with oasis to take home & we had a demo arrangement to present to our chef! I would highly recommend Kate & Toms and The Flower Barn to anyone! Thank you all. - Damaris
Couldn't recommend this place enough! So thoughtfully decorated, spotless, cosy and really peaceful. A great location for country walks and exploring the routes along the canal. Thank you so much for such a lovely stay! - Celine
We had a lovely stay! Everything was very clean and the flowers around the accommodation were a nice addition. The views out of the lounge/kitchen are beautiful; it all felt very peaceful. We enjoyed being able to take our dog along too! - Jo
Great space overall and kitchen area in particular works well for large groups. Grounds are beautiful and well kept and will be greatly enhanced when the BBQ area is completed soon. Would very much recommend booking here. - Hannah
Fantastic experience at The Flower Barn, 16 of us shared some wonderful family time and the barn suited our needs perfectly. With the majority of bedrooms serviced by en-suite bathrooms, The Flower Barn provided the layout so often missing at larger rentals. The booking procedure from kate & tom's was straightforward and the team were always on hand to provide advice and support. I would highly recommend both kate & tom's and The Flower Barn for your large get together. - Andy
Excellent choice of accommodation available, the one we chose was a very high standard (The Flower Barn). Booking with kate & tom's was comprehensive & efficient, our security deposit was returned promptly. We would highly recommend using their service. - Mary
