See ‘Britain’s (officially) Greatest Natural Wonder’ at Dan Yr Ogof, the National Show Caves Centre for Wales. Catch the newest blockbusters plus cultural classics at Pontardawe Arts Centre or see all the latest releases at Odeon Swansea, a ten-screen multiplex.
Visit Plantasia, a unique hothouse garden that’s home to over 5000 tropical plants plus a butterfly house, piranhas, and a crocodile-feeding experience. (Watch your fingers.) Or how about LC2, Wales’ biggest indoor water park with a network of pools, water rides, and slides, including the Master Blaster and the Surf Rider indoor surfing?
Margam Country Park will keep grown-ups happy with its 18th-century orangery, fuchsia collection, and restored gardens, while delighting kids with the narrow-gauge railway, adventure playground, birds of prey rescue centre, farm trail and pets’ corner. Or meet chimps, baboons, capuchins and marmosets at the Wales Ape and Monkey Sanctuary.
Ride the Brecon Mountain Railway through the glorious Beacons. Swim, dig and build at Blue Flag beaches on the Gower coast, including Bracelet, Caswell, Langland and Port Eynon. Or fill a day with fun at Oakwood Theme Park, featuring Megafobia, Europe’s largest wooden rollercoaster and considered to be one of the world’s best.

Keep in shape at Pontardawe Leisure Centre on the badminton and squash courts and in the weights room. Get some serious lengths in on the Olympic-sized swimming pool at the Wales National Pool in Swansea. Climb the walls at Dynamic Rock in Clydach. Or master the 350-metre track at Skidz Karting.
Pop along to the Cimla Equestrian Centre for a selection of great rides through mountain and forest. In summer, stop for a picnic by the River Afan. Blast clay pigeons at Crynant Shooting Ground, try some archery at Perriswood on the Gower Peninsula, or Go Ape at Margam Country Park.
Love golf? Pick from six spectacular courses at Pontardawe, Mond Valley, Neath (at 500 feet, with views of seven counties), Langland Bay, Garnant and Pennard, high above the bay. Too many bogeys? Drown your score-card sorrows at Penderyn Distillery Visitor Centre or Tomos Watkin Brewery.
