Hot tubs, gardens and grounds

Godolphin Estate is a wonderful world. It all begins on the outside, in the Welsh border country and with its soaring hills. On the inside, you’ll sit high above acres of parkland and a rumbling fly-fishing river whose pace mirrors the speed of life at this collection of properties.

Greenery is plentiful here. It all begins before you even arrive, winding your way through the Welsh border country that looks like a giant golf course sculpted by a higher power. But the idyll’s only just begun, as you explore the 15 acres of rolling greenery that harbours a full-scale spa, gym, all weather tennis court and the meandering waters of the River Tanat.

Make the most of it. In high summer, with the Hall awash with wisteria, hire the Weber barbecue and dine out on the terrace amid the landscaping and the laburnum tunnels. Fish the river, walk the woodlands with their 2500 semi-mature and specimen trees, play a little croquet on the lawns.

Take a picnic down by the river then return to a dip in one of the hot tubs at twilight as the sun sets above the Meifod Valley. Out there among the verdant pastures picnic by the river, take a tipple on the terrace and pretend you never have to leave.

What people say

The Hall is beautiful - warm welcoming and cozy, each bedroom is uniquely decorated and comfortable. The function room is a perfect size - spacious and elegant. The kitchen is the hub of the house and as ever we all found ourselves congregating there! But the living rooms and snooker room are all too lovely to ignore! Wish we had had more time to enjoy it further, we would definitely recommend. - Fiona
We hired the hall for our 2 day team away days and couldn't have chosen a better venue. From the organisation through to leaving, everything was excellent. The staff all really looked after us, the food was amazing and they went out of their way to make the table setting special for our dinner there. They also organised activities for us and liaised directly with our external facilitator to make life easier. Thoroughly recommend. - Gough
